The Tech Museum of Innovation, after opening the Garage facility, undertook the creation of a new building and new exhibitions in downtown San Jose. The new museum opened in 1998. Master planning was aligned with exhibition programming, and the whole experience was contextualized within the world-famous architecture of Ricardo Legoretta, This allowed for a seamless aesthetic blend and created iconic experiences within iconic architecture.
