The Kocaeli Science Center master plan was a programmatic examination and building and exhibition strategy for the reuse of the SEKA paper mill as a science center/historical museum complex and cultural center. TÜBITAK, the Scientific and Research Council of Turkey, initiated a partnership with the Municipalities of Kocaeli. The resultant project plan included several science center galleries, a gallery focused on the history of the factory and the science behind paper making, a theater, a store, and cafes.
